Singin' In The Rain (1952)

⭐4 Stars⭐

This is not the type of film I would normally seek out, but goddamn is this thing just delightful. I don’t love the way the film treats the character of Lina Lamont, who while annoying really gets more comeuppance than she deserves. Other than that though, yeah this is just a charming movie. It’s not anything profound, but it doesn’t need to be. As a cute love story set in the backdrop of early Hollywood, it’s a lot of fun. Also, Donald O’Connor is hilarious.
